Regional Assessment Competition
Your first three days in Toronto will be spent in training and preparing for the Regional Assessment Show. Miss Canada Globe Productions allows each contestant to win some kind of title at the Regional Assessment Show which is held the evening of the first Saturday you are there. The title you receive is determined by your scores throughout the Regional Pageant Week which can be anything from a provincial title such as Miss Alberta to a regional title such as Miss Southern Nunavut or Miss Greater Toronto Area. Your title on this night does not affect your score or title at the Final Night Competition.

Regional Assessment Show
The morning of the Regional Show you will be expected to arrive in the ballroom with your hair set (they will tell you how/what that means). You will be given a certain length of time to do your hair and makeup 'pageant style' (which they will also tell you how to do). You will then be judged on how well you have done on your hair and makeup and these scores will go toward your Regional Assessment score.
You will then prepare for your Interview with the judges. Again, it isn't too scary. You will be asked some questions and your answers will be judged. This score will also go toward you score for the Regional Assessment.
After your interview, you will have some time to start getting ready for the Regional Assessment Show. You will want your hair and makeup done as well as anything you would need with you before the show (they will let you know what you will want to have with you).
The Regional Assessment Show will begin with the Opening Number outfit (The 2017 Regional Assessment Show involved black pants and a white or red tank top depending on your category). You will also need your swimsuit and an evening gown. You will be judged and scored accordingly on your Runway Walk, Swimsuit and Evening Gown.
Please remember that MCGP does NOT score based on how you look in a swimsuit/evening gown. They don't judge you on your size or shape and they do not judge you based on the type of swimsuit or evening gown you wear. MCGP is all about how you carry yourself, your confidence level and your energy!
At the end of the night you will be crowned according to your scores! You will receive a sash and a crown for you to keep. You will get to wear your sash for the rest of the week and each appearance and you will hold this title for the entire year of your reign! Please be careful with your crown - they are very delicate and they are not inexpensive!
The 2017 Regional Assessment Show gave us the opportunity for contestants to be crowned and sashed by family members at the pageant. This provides a special opportunity for families or friends to congratulate you in a special way. It also makes for some really nice photos!
